RNS attends the 2023 SACSC Congress in Cape Town

 

Retail Network Services attends the SACSC Congress each year, and 2023 was no exception. Networking with industry colleagues is one of the major highlights of attending the Congress. RNS team members Eugene Potgieter (2nd from the left) together with Kimeko Maritz, CEO Gavin Tagg, Wisani Mothembi, and Vanessa Robinson (4th from the right) and Antonio Agostinelli (1st on the right) enjoyed meeting up with teams from PolygonProp and The Market Space in October 2023, at the Congress venue in Cape Town.

RNS honours staff with Long Service Awards

 

The RNS team enjoyed dinner together on Friday 4 August 2023, and then
applauded those team members who received Service Awards from a beaming
CEO, Gavin Tagg. Marjike Arran, Mitta Maleka, Angela Rex and Connie Twala
received awards for 5 years of service, while Vanessa Robinson was heartily
cheered for her 10 years of service to RNS.

RNS bowled over by SACSC Gauteng NextGen event

 

RNS staff, Antonio Agostinelli, Angela Rex and Wisani Mothembi together with Luke Smith of PolygonProp, were bowled over by the great networking and entertaining Hyper Bowling and Augmented Reality Darts competitions on offer at the Broll-sponsored SACSC Gauteng NextGen event held in Rosebank on 6 July 2023.

breakfast at The Hilton in Sandton. ‘Accelerating the journey to carbon
neutrality’ was the subject under disc
ussion by a panel of industry experts,
with the spotlight falling on potential accelerators.

NEWMARKET LIFESTYLE CENTRE – OPENS 2024 

 

NEWMARKET LIFESTYLE CENTRE, the 35,000m² shopping centre in the popular Newmarket Precinct in Alberton, is coming out of the ground fast. Developers Rejem-Linton (Nedbank), in conjunction with Jonker Evolution and Retail Network Services aim to bring more retail ‘flavour’ to the Newmarket Precinct,with a strong convenience element, value fashion outlet stores and popular homeware retailers.

SAIBPP Fundraising Masquerade & Networking Ball 

 

Gavin Tagg, CEO of Retail Network Services, and members of the RNS team attended the SAIBPP 2023 Fundraising Masquerade & Networking Ball, held on 5 April 2023 in Gauteng.  We were delighted to help raise funds to support the many education and training initiatives and programmes offered by SAIBPP as a means of driving youth participation and supporting Black business and professionals to advance in the property sector and built environment.

SACSC GAUTENG CHAPTER NETWORKING EVENT

 

The Gauteng Chapter of the South African Council of Shopping Centres (SACSC) held a networking event for members and guests at Cilantros Restaurant on Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton on 16 March 2023.

HEBRON MALL

 

Hebron Mall opened in North West province in October 2022, bringing modern retail to Soshanguve, Garankuwa, and surrounding communities. The 22,000m² joint venture between Twin City Developments and Moolman Group has 90 new stores, a family entertainment area and food court, free WiFi, and more than 900 parking bays. Hebron Mall is anchored by Shoprite, Boxer - which celebrated the opening of its 400th store, and Westpack Lifestyle. The RNS leasing team put together a superb retail and restaurant mix.

ELIM MALL

 

Elim Mall near Makhado in Limpopo opened a stunning extension in October 2022 to an excited shopping community who have been
loyal sh
oppers since the original mall opened eight years ago. It is destined to bring many new shoppers to the mall, attracted by an even bigger
tenant mix
. RNS was delighted to once again be working with Twin City Developments, who entrusted us to create the retail
strategy for the new phase and manage the leasing.

BLUEBERRY SQUARE

 

Blueberry Square in Honeydew, Johannesburg, opened in June 2021 on the site of the old Honeydew Shopping Centre. It subsequently won a prestigious SACSC Retail Design and Development Award. RNS facilitated the development, provided the retail strategy and managed the leasing of the 15,000m² of retail space. Blueberry Square represents an ideal one-stop convenience shopping centre. Strong grocery anchors – Checker, Woolworths Food and Freshouse Market – are supported by a handpicked mix of tenants across a range of categories, as well as an appealing selection of eateries.
